Mt.Ootakatori of 364m above sea level is in the center of Ogose-town and hole of the mountain can be seen from Ogose-station. Though there are several routes to the top of the mountain, Two routes are reratively convenient. One is the route starting from the neiborhood of Ogose plam field and another is the route starting from the Godaison. In the top with the third class triangulation point, trees grow thick and the scenery from the top was not good before, but a part of them was felled and you can enjoy a good scenery now.
標高376mの大高取山は越生町の中央にあり、越生駅からほぼ全景を眺めることができます。大高取山への登山ルートはいくつかありますが、北山麓にある越生梅林の近くから登山道に入るコースと、北東の五大尊から登山道に入る２つのルートが比較的多く利用されています。三等三角点がある頂上は、以前は木々が茂り眺望がよくありませんでしたが、今は一部が伐採され、良い眺めが楽しめます。
