This CITO event is a part of The Adopt-A-Highway Program of which S.A.G. (Straits Area Geocachers) has participated in for several years. We are responsible for cleaning a 2 mile section of US Hwy 31 North in Pellston. Garbage bags, safety vests and a limited number of garbage 'grabbers' are provided to participants. It suggested that participants supply his/her own gloves.
The posted coordinates are for parking. To access the parking - use the access road to the south promptly after turning into the airport from the highway. Bottled water and a refreshment will be provided. Time to complete the project runs approximately 2 hours. Children under 12 and pets are welcome; however each participant is responsible for his/her child(ren) and pets. It is highly recommended pets be on a leash. Please wear sturdy shoes - sandals and/or flip flops are not recommended. Please dress for the weather.
