This stash is hidden in the park in the middle of Whittman Airport, near the EAA museum
I placed this stash to introduce visitors to the EAA Airventure Fly-In 2002 to Geocaching. Many pilots flying in have handheld GPS's and are perfect canidates for the game.
The stash is a green ammo box, and contains info sheets about GeoCaching. I didn't load it with goodies because I don't expect the first time hunters to know to bring something to leave. It may not last long past EAA Airventure 2002, but if it gets a few hits this week it's job will have been done.
Enjoy the hunt, and the airshow too! For what it is worth, this stash was placed by someone wearing a very bright pink shirt. For those familiar with the show, you may know what that means!
NOTE: Be very careful while hunting to not wander onto any active runways, especially grass ones near the antique airpark.
