Congrats to Wheels00 and IrishCubsFan for the series First to Find. Toolrep beat them only on stage #2. After two months of planning and prep for this series, I appreciate the detail description of the hunt from the FTF team.
This series begins with a riddle that may be laughably easy for certain geocachers but a bit challenging for others. If you think this is going to be too easy, don't worry: the next two puzzles involve the most exotic languages encountered in the series. In the final step, we’ll bring everything together so that you can discover the resting place of the ultimate Urban Babel logbook.
Good luck!
It Takes Two to Tango
A singer once asked if listeners would like to “coucher.” When translated to English, both the denotation and the connotation of this word in the singer’s refrain start with the same letter. When you remove the letters common to both of these words you are left with three unique letters. Starting with the given coordinates of this cache, subtract the alpha-order values sum for these three letters from the north coordinate and add that sum to the west coordinate to find the first cache location.
