Geocache Description:

Park at the upper Darby Canoe Access at Prairie Oaks Metro Park. Go off the beaten path and look for signs of wildlife as you search for this cache. Dog friendly. Be sure to check out the other 19 caches that are a part of this year’s Metro Parks GeoTrail!

 

Educational Cache Info:

Look around and you may see signs of beaver activity. As the sun goes down the beaver come out. Look for trees with bark gnawed off and watch out for pointed stumps leftover from a beaver felling a tree. You may also hear them slapping their tails on the water, it sounds like someone throwing a big rock into the water.

To participate in the Metro Parks GeoTrail go to www.metroparks.net/geotrail-2017 to find complete instructions. Download and print the GeoTrail page and complete at least 15 GeoTrail caches. As you find the caches fill in the cache clues on the GeoTrail page. The first 100 teams to return their forms are eligible to receive a Metro Parks Geocoin. You will need all 20 clues to complete the puzzle and unlock the coordinates of the Bonus Puzzle Cache.Mark your calendar for the GeoTrail Celebration on October 13th.
