Geocache Description:

This cache takes you to South Omo in Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Region (SNNPR). If you are travelling here, you are most likely out to explore the rich cultural heritage this area has to offer.

You find this cache in the land of the Hamar – pastoralists that live their traditional lifestyle, so they place a high value on their cattle. The Hamar are known for their unique custom of "bull jumping," which marks the transition of a boy into manhood.

The cache is located at a river close to a well-known lodge. You don't have to stay at the lodge to find the cache.

Note by the owner (July 2019):
After four years in Ethiopia, my time in the 'Land of Origins' came to an end in July 2019. I have done my best to widen and maintain the net of geocaches in the country, but now need to call on my fellow cachers for help: If you venture out to search for this cache, please take a replacement container with you, just in case the original is gone. - Sundowner74
