Argal Lake (Reservoir) near Falmouth.
Argal Lake is a reservoir operated by South West Water. It was
constructed in 1941 and provides water to Falmouth and surrounding
areas. There is a 2 mile (3.2 km) walk that goes around the
lake.
Pay and display parking is available (cost £1.00 for 2 hours, which
goes to the South West Lakes Trust) at the lakeside (N50° 09.173' /
W005° 08.064' (WGS84)). From the centre of the dam the cache is
about a 1 km walk clockwise or 2.2 km anti-clockwise around the
lake. The cache is in a small oblong plastic food container (0.75
litres capacity). The path around the lake can get muddy and the
area near the cache definately is.
