Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
Located off Historic Route 66 on private land. Permission given to enter for cache. The alleyway is best area to park as it runs parallel with RT 66 and is off Yellowflower RD. Dogs on-site but they are fenced and they may bark to say hello. Two gates to enter both are posted with signs. Look for “Geocache Entrance” sign. Gate is unlocked. There is a camera on site to capture wildlife. Please be cautious of bees and snakes. There are open range cattle on site along with a wild herd of burros.
Should be simple to find. In medium sized container. We added this geocache due to the amount of enjoyment we get from geocaching and because our location was ideal for travelers and locals. The wild herd of burros tend to show up at the pond during the warmer months and the cattle are usually on site year round. Most of the time they show up in evening and nighttime hours. The pond does have frequent visitors from bees and bull & king snakes however always use caution with these snakes and any other species that may be at the pond. Venomous rattle snakes are frequent in the area. The camera on site captures wildlife including coyotes, local and migrating birds, and other various wildlife. There are two ways to get to cache and both are off of Route 66. You can exit onto Yellowflower Road from Route 66 and the alleyway would be your first left by the pine trees. Second way is exiting off of Route 66 onto an unnamed dirt road adjacent to Golden Valley Fire Station 13 and taking your first right into the alleyway that’s right behind the fire station. Our dogs may bark when you are on the property, but they are in a fenced area. You can park in the alleyway. Pease close gates when done. Thanks for visiting our cache.
