Geocache Description:

The posted coordinates are BOGUS!  You must, instead, solve the following puzzle.

Rules for this puzzle: No intentional red herrings, no oddball (fishiness) methods of presenting coordinates (UTM, for example, or also having coordinates read backwards), and no leaving off the N32 and W97 just to make it more difficult. There may be more than one layer on this puzzle. Collaboration is allowed and you may ask me for hints after there has been a FTF.

Now for the puzzle...

This puzzle will be quite the detour from my regular style. I believe, if you don't like the puzzles I usually present, that this one will be much more fun for you. FYI - This game should work on all modern browsers and phones.

The rules for 2048 are simple...slide tiles left and right, or up and down, and make matches. When two tiles match, they are joined into a higher ranking tile. In the original 2048 game, the object was to reach the 2048 game tile; however, I've replaced those numbered tiles (2, 4, 8, 16, 32, etc) with Geocaching logos. Once you make it to the Groundspeak logo (2048), you win and the final coordinates will be revealed!

When I first started working on this puzzle I wanted to make sure I could beat the game myself. I can, and I can do it pretty much every time now; however, it took me a long time to get to that point. I probably played 25+ games before I learned the proper strategy and patterns to win consistently. I tell you this because I don't want you to get frustrated too quickly - practice, and reading up on strategy, will go a long way on this game. In the end, maybe you will find you actually enjoy it ;).

2048

I owe the idea for this puzzle to CacheSleuth in Oklahoma. He has a fantastic series of game puzzles and he has been generous enough to provide me guidance on how to implement them here in Fort Worth.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
