Geocache Description:

Historical Land Mark

This is my first attempt at hiding a cache. It is in a 1 kg Nabob coffee can. When logging a find, please make reference to why I would have used the name of the cache that I did. The tree cover may make for poor GPS readings.
At the time of placing (July, 2002) it contained the following.
1) Tie Wraps
2) Wire Nuts
3) Highmark Paper Clips
4) Winnie The Pooh Magnet
5) Canada Key Chain
6) 12 Water-colour Markers
7) Tennis Ball (Compliments of Shelley's Crew)
8) Bottle of car wash
9) Whistle (from Lunar Landing Cache)

Note: Be-Strong-Carry-On! adopted this cache in August 2012.

It was necessary to replace the original coffee-can cache container as it was rusted beyond repair. The second replacement log-book (circa 2006) is included in the new cache container. Almost all other contents were not salvageable.

In accordance with Groundspeak requirements for adopting caches, we did our best to maintain the "theme" and size of the original hide. However, some modifications were required to enable this type of cache to withstand the elements.
As a result, the terrain rating has been upgraded. Depending upon the approach taken, the terrain rating may even be slightly higher.

The cache has now also been placed about 20 feet away from the original hide location to enable a winter-friendly attribute.
