Bellefontaine est une commune française, située dans le département de la Martinique en région Martinique. Ses habitants sont appelés les Bellifontains.
En 2014, la commune comptait 1 593 habitants.
LE SITE :
Bellefontaine est une commune située sur la côte caraïbe au nord de Fort de France. Elle doit son nom à un colon français Guillaume Michel, dit Bellefontaine, installé dans les environs au XVIIème siècle.
Le développement de la bourgade est relativement récent en comparaison des autres communes de Martinique. Peu peuplée, Bellefontaine n'a d'ailleurs obtenu le statut de commune à part entière qu'en 1950. C'est ici qu'est produite une grande partie de l'électricité de l'île dans l'imposante centrale EDF.
Outre cette production d'énergie, l'activité économique est essentiellement liée à l'agriculture et à la pêche. Les centres d'intérêts touristiques sont ici très peu nombreux.
On citera toutefois comme principale chose à voir, la Maison Torgiléo construite en 1948 par la famille Dubois... En forme de bateau ! Peinte de bleu et de blanc elle domine de son entrave la baie de Bellefontaine et est parfaitement visible depuis la route.
Certains jours des coups de senne (immense filet déployé pour attraper les petits poissons du bord de mer), sont organisés depuis la plage, un spectacle étonnant pour qui à la chance d'y assister ou d'y participer.
LA CACHE :
Une fois que vous avez trouvé une place pour votre voiture sur le parking prévu, le site est très facile d'accès. La cache de petite taille manétique contient originellement le log mais pas de crayon. Apportez donc votre crayon (BYOP) et soyez extrêmement discret, l’endroit est très fréquenté. SVP replacez la cache exactement à l’endroit où vous l’avez trouvé.

Bellefontaine is a municipality situated on the Caribbean coast in the North of Fort de France. It owes her name to a French colon Guillaume Michel, says Bellefontaine, installed around in the XVIIth century.
The development of the village is relatively recent by comparison with the other municipalities of Martinique. Little populated, Bellefontaine moreover obtained the status of full municipality only in 1950. It is here that is produced a big part of the electricity of the island in the impressive power plant EDF.
Besides this power production, the economic activity is essentially bound to the agriculture and to the peach. The centers of tourist interests are little numerous here.
We shall quote however as main thing to be seen, the House Torgiléo was built in 1948 by the family Dubois... In the shape of boat! Painted of blue and white it dominates of its obstacle the bay of Bellefontaine and is perfectly visible since the road. Certain days the knocks of seine (immense net spread (deployed to catch small fishes of the seaside), are organized since the beach, an amazing show for whom in the luck to attend it or to participate in it.

When you found a place for your car on the parking lot, the site is very easily accessible. The small-sized magnétic hiding place contains originally the log but no pencil. Thus bring your pencil ( BYOP) and be extremely discreet, the place is very busy. PLEASE replace the hiding place exactly in the place where you found It.
