Geocache Description:

An easy find along the Lyn road. Bring your own writing utensil. This set of caches will bring you to significant historic locations of the United Empire Loyalists who settled the area in the late 1700's. The caches are named after Col. Edward Jessup, who was a United Empire Loyalist who founded the town of Prescott in 1810.

United Empire Loyalists were residents of the American Colonies who were loyal to the Crown during the American Revolution. At war’s end, Loyalists were forced to leave the newly formed USA. Many settled in Canada, including Leeds & Grenville. The house at the top of the hill near this cache is was built by Hiram Kilborn, son of Loyalist James Kilborn. The house was in the Kilborn family for 160 years.

This is a micro sized travel pill bottle. You can park on the shoulder of the road, just be careful of cars cresting the top of the hill.
