As a parent, teacher, and grandparent – I have found no greater pleasure in life than READING. Reading aloud to students, children, and now grandchildren provides an opportunity to STOP in your busy life and pick up a book and give time to books. This trail is filled with titles of my favorite children’s books.

FBGT: Charlotte’s Web
by E. B. White and illustrated by Garth Williams, 1952. In the beloved story of a little pig named Wilbur who is saved from an untimely death by Charlotte the spider, readers are transported into the barn which smells of the “perspiration of tired horses and the wonderful sweet breath of patient cows.” White’s lyrical prose lulls his readers into a celebration of senses, encouraging them to find the wonder in every moment.
