Geocache Description:

The trail is approximately 6 miles long--walkable in a 2 or 3 hours, tho the preferred method for most cachers is probably to solve all the so-called puzzles and to take 2 cars, dropping one at one end of the trail and driving the other to the other end.  A considerable portion of your walk will be on pavement (walking/biking trails or the shoulder of 31).  Have fun!

The first Methodist house of worship in the new world was built c 1760 in what was then known as Sam’s Creek, MD; in 1982, an authentic re-creation of the meetinghouse was built using logs which dated to the 1760’s. The circuit rider associated with this place, who hailed from Drummersnave, Ireland, also built near Aberdeen, MD, in 1769, Bush Chapel, whose ruins are now the site of a virtual geocache (GCG1W8); this preacher’s name is:

a. Charles Wesley (33.498/03.901)

b. Richard L. Blacksten (33.547/03.795)

c. Robert Strawbridge (32.681/05.800)

d. Francis Asbury (33.646/03.882)
