Geocache Description:

Welcome to Scarborough Fire Hall #1!

November 2nd, 1925 was the day that Scarborough Fire Hall #1 opened, with Chief W.F. Scott, Deputy Chief Tom Love, and First Lieutenant Willam Bath. Located at the corner of Birchmount Rd. and Highview Ave. This original building still looks amazing today, and is still in use, not as an actual Fire Hall, but a museum preserving this piece of Scarborough History that is run by former firefighters. This Fire Hall helped form the the beginning of many more Fire Halls to open across the city.  The next one opening 20 years later, known as Fire Hall #2 (located on Morrish Road, Highland Creek).

We pass by often, and decided that this piece of Scarborough History needed a cache.
