There is 24hr pedestrian access.
The Kauri Point Track is a loop track 3.7 km and fitted with mountain bike/buggy ramps. This will take you about 1 – 1.5 hours to complete. I have placed 6 caches on this loop and are totally separate from the “A Byte and a Half at Atiu” series of caches.
It was along here that I saw about 20 good-sized field mushrooms. The trouble was that I was 2 days too late and didn’t have a large enough container to put them in.:-(
