The week of 22-30 April is Cache In Trash Out (CITO) week - a good opportunity for geocachers to get together to clean up our game board - planet earth. Last time I hosted a CITO event on the south side of Lake Burley Griffen - so this time around is the turn of the northsiders. Black Mountain Peninsula is a favourite place of mine as I spent many summers here helping out as a volunteer at one of the rowing clubs on the Peninsula. This location is a great one to bring the kids, had plenty of shelter and amenities, and well stocked in Pokemon (for those so inclined).
Not only is there a geocaching.com souvenir for attending the event, but this could also assist you towards meeting some of the new challenge caches published in Amaroo.
Day: 29 April 2017
Time: 2-3pm
Provided: rubbish bags, refreshments, a log to sign
Bring: gloves, hat, covered shoes, picking up implements (if not your hands), a small donation for rubbish disposal (entirely voluntary of course) and your best smile.
If you can assist with rubbish disposal, please message me through geocaching.com.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
