Лічыцца, што млынары заўсёды сябравалі з вадзяным і час ад часу прыносілі яму ахвяры. Часам нават чалавечыя. Для гэтага на млын заваблівалі выпадковага мінака і спіхвалі яго ў вір пад кола. Менавіта таму млыны ніколі не асвячаліся і лічыліся месцам рассялення усякай нечысці.
Пра кінутыя млыны казалі, што чэрці там перамолваюць косткі мерцвякоў. А ў поўнач з вады выходзіць сяброўка вадзянога - вадзяніха, садзіцца на камень і грэбнем расчэсвае свае валасы. Верыць ці не - справа ваша, але ўначы сюды лепш не хадзіць.

Abandoned mill.
There are many frightful stories and legends around the mills. Especially the abandoned ones!
It is widely believed that the millers were always friends with mermen and that time to time they were bringing them offerings to sacrifice. Sometimes even human. To do that the millers would trap some random passer-by to the mill and then push him into whirlpool under the wheel. That is why the mills were never sanctified and were always considered the place where all kinds of evil-spirits live. They say that the mills that are abandoned are the place where demons grind the bones of the dead. And that at midnights the merman’s girlfriend comes out, sits on the stone and brushes her hair with the comb.
