Geocache Description:

The SQ in the cache name above signifies Spirit Quest, a project to distinguish those caches that are set in cemeteries or memorial gardens. Please be respectful of the area, and observe all rules and posted hours. Only visit cemeteries from dawn to dusk throughout the city unless other hours are posted.

You will need a TOT (tool of the trade) but it is provided on the cache container at the top. If not there or not found you will easily find something else to push the container with the log sheet out.

Church / Denomination: St Alphonsus Roman Catholic (Park St & Goyeau Ave), closing soon.
Registered to* R.C.E.C. of Diocese of London. Part of the Heavenly Rest Group of Cemeteries. Located within the Windsor downtown area, St. Al's Cemetery (as it has come to be known) was established circa 1874, according to available records. Its oldest section resides on the North side of Ottawa St., but also extends to border on the surrounding Shepherd St. E., Howard Ave. and Allendale St. Its most recognizable landmark is the Kennedy Mausoleum (visible from the Howard Ave. side of the property) a memoriam to the former Minister of Railways and Canals, the Hon. William Costello (1868-1923) and his wife Mary Eleanor Kennedy. First interment 1874.
