Some caches are micros, a few can hold a trackable, some are easy finds, and others prove to be quite difficult. All we ask from the Leadership Wayne class is that you enjoy the finds and learn something new about our wonderful county. Upon completion of the entire trail you will be able to collect your GeoCoin at the Wayne County museum after you have recorded your code words on the passport from each of the 50 locations.
The first Rosewood School building was put up in
1904, and when the larger three story new one was put up
in 1923 at a cost of $60,000, the first one
became a teacherage with the intention of providing a safe, convenient, and comfortable environment for teachers to live and grow professionally. The teacherage offered more privacy for teachers, but it also served as a local hub for parents and students. The Rosewood teacherage which was converted to apartments in 1970s and demolished in 2014 and the land sold for commercial development.
