Many residents of Melrose utilize this large park for a variety of reasons. There are soccer fields, playgrounds, baseball fields, a pavilion, basketball, fishing, camping, RVing, disc golf, and a paved trail for biking, etc.. But the long winter months are hard on the park and so much rubbish accumulates. So this year the wee warriors and I decided we could help out and host a CITO here on Earth Day to help the community get this park ready for the busy months.
