This cache is place in honor of MOGA 2017, the First Mega Geocaching Event in Kansas. The goal of the committee was to pay homage to our gracious host, so each event cache is named after one of the 105 Counties that make up the state.

Sherman County is located in Northwestern Kansas. As of the 2010 census, the county population was 6,010. Its county seat is Goodland. Sherman County was created by the Legislature of 1873, and named after General William Tecumseh Sherman. (Wikipedia)
