English:
Located near the church, this pigeon house is a vestige of the former convent of the Benedictines of Calvary established in the Mothe Saint-Héray.
It was restored in ten months, in 2014 and 2015, in particular with the installation of a new five tons bent. This successful restoration has earned it a departmental price at the "Rubans du patrimoine" (Heritage ribbons) 2016 contest.
For the anecdote, do you know what was the use of the small excrescence located half-height of the circular wall of the pigeon house? It was to form an overhang that prevented the rats, excellent climbers, from reaching inside the building from the top and eating the freshly ground flour.

The cache is located at the top of the field of the dovecote, in a large hedge. You can enjoy a beautiful view on a part of the village.
