Grand'Rivière est une commune française, située dans le département de la Martinique en région Martinique. Ses habitants sont appelés les Riverains.

LE SITE :
La bourgade de Grand Rivière est située à l'extrême nord de la Martinique , juste en face de la Dominique, l'île voisine distante de 25km seulement. Si l'endroit, très isolé, accueille rapidement une chapelle et une batterie de canons à la fin du XVIIème siècle, les habitations s'y font en revanche rares avant 1850 et il faut attendre 1888 pour que la commune existe officiellement...
Aujourd'hui encore le bourg de Grand Rivière, situé en bout de route, demeure très peu peuplé - Plus d'une heure de voiture est en effet nécessaire pour rejoindre la capitale, Fort de France.
La pêche est l'une des principales activités économiques de Grand Rivière et, en l'absence d'hôtel et d'attractions majeures dans les environs, le tourisme y reste limité.
Parmi les choses à voir ou faire on citera la petite mais élégante Eglise Sainte Catherine pour son plafond peint, le mur de Bellevue et ses façades colorées et bien sur, pour les bons marcheurs, la grande randonnée de 17km vers le Prêcheur qui permet de découvrir un milieu tropical quasi vierge de toute intervention humaine.
Il faut compter entre 4 et 6h selon le rythme de marche. Le mieux est alors d'organiser son retour depuis Le Prêcheur en bateau - Pour ce faire il suffit de téléphoner à l'Office de Tourisme de Grand Rivière 48h avant.
LA CACHE :
Une fois que vous avez trouvé une place pour votre voiture sur le parking prévu, le site est très facile d'accès. La cache de petite taille contient originellement le log et quelques cadeaux. Soyez extrêmement discret, l’endroit est très fréquenté. SVP replacez la cache exactement à l’endroit où vous l’avez trouvé.
