Geocache Description:

The On Your Bike trail is 11 caches in total with some sneaky hides.

The Bridgwater Taunton canal opened in 1827 to link the River Tone and the River Parret. Today it’s only used for recreation with fishing canoeing cycle and dog walkers in abundance. It’s peaceful and has some nice scenery and if your lucky some wildlife to spot.

You can walk ride or canoe the trail all though you will have to keep getting out the water.

It is also accessible for prams and I would say some sections can be done by wheelchair. Although you won’t be able to reach all the caches.

There are five cache types, two different micros some screw cap tube’s a couple of key safe’s and two clip top boxes large enough for trackables.

There is parking at both ends of the trail, enough for five or six cars. There is also a pub near the start if you need some refreshments when you have finished or if you feel you need it before you start.

From number 11 if you wish to walk\ride\canoe another 1k there is also a tea room.

You could also pick up the caches near by which are GC65HCG a church micro and GC60WR4 which is a stones throw from the tea room.

Obviously the caches are near open water and although not very deep please keep an eye on geokids. You will also need to keep an eye out for muggle’s as this can be a busy cycle route.

Pictures of your visit is welcome but please no spoiler photos.

Have fun and happy hunting.
