Geocache Description:

Crush of Memory

Crush of Memory

The cache is not at the posted location.  Please solve the puzzle to determine its true coordinates.

"I know I've seen that thing somewhere"

Play Crush of Memory if you dare

View the 16 photos below

Answer the questions and off you go

Weird heads on a table

Blue tower of Babel

Prop without a plane

Peaceful country lane

Find them in Hillsverton

Or Beaverboro - even more fun!

Almost down to Tigard

The CO knowingly sniggered

Consider this a cooperation puzzle

So if you find you're in a huzzle

Phone a friend or message a caching mate

"I've got seven.  Trade for eight?"

And lest you think I'm a (curse word)

I do know that it's "Tie-gurd"!

So solve the puzzle and ditch the couch!

Stop this rhyming - it's one big Ouch!

Translation:

The 16 photos below may put a crush on your memory.  If you've spent much time here, you've probably seen most or all of them.  But, where??

When you've identified each photo's location, answer the associated question.  Google Earth should be very helpful, and don't forget about Street View.

If you are a taxi cab driver or VERY active geocacher, you may know all of these sites.  More likely, some you won't be sure of.  Thus, consider this a teamwork puzzle.  Feel free to contact your caching friends and trade an answer or two with them.  Or, if you've solved it, and are feeling generous, help someone who is still struggling.  Don't give away too much - it is still a puzzle after all.

I took all the photos in the west Portland metro area.  All but three are visible as you drive by.

Seawind Quality Conrrol Programme

All Seawind caches are created, located and placed with constant attention to the pinnacle of quality.  Your participation in this short survey of your experiences is greatly appreciated!

Survey (your responses always unanimous)

These questions pertain only to the  final cache itself and NOT the puzzle (the perfection of which is beyond question).

1. My overall experience with finding the cache and signing the log can best be described as:

A - Exceptional

B - Outstanding

C - Perfect in every aspect

D - A truly wonderful adventure

2. I encountered no Muggles at the cache site (based on a visit time of Sunday morning at 2:35 AM):

__ True

3. The cache itself is (check at least five):

__ Remarkably original

__ In pristine condition

__ Nice and dry

__ One that I will always remember

__ Incredibly well constructed

4. The drive home through the Columbia River Gorge was one of the most scenic I have ever experienced:

__ True

5.  The oxygen density at the cache site was somewhat uncomfortable:

__ False

6. The scenic value of the cache location, with a view, only seven miles away, of the city skyline and Mt. Hood, is unsurpassed.

__ True

7. On a scale of one to ten, with one being "the best ever" and ten being even better, how would you rate the originality of the cache container and its location?

8. Thinking about some other cacher's puzzle (which was insolvably flawed) and the Altoid tin cache final full of water with saturated log stuck in the sign at the smelly fast food joint in the worst part of town (where the manager came out and yelled at you just after you stepped in something that YOUR dog didn't produce [your dog being occupied with biting a customer]) that you recently found, just prior to your GPS receiver falling into a sewer grate followed by your cell phone and car keys as you attempted in vain to retrieve it, and logged (and had your log deleted by the cache owner claiming you hadn't signed the piece of pulp in the cache), how does this infinitely superior puzzle and cache compare?

9. Drag the slider to indicate whether you will recommend this cache to others:

█--------------------------------------------------

Definitely--------Maybe--------Not a chance

10. This cache is so fantastic, that I not only gave it a Favorite Point, but also set up phony user accounts and logged a bunch of phony finds, all to give it even more points!

Shameless Plugs

Salt Lake City bound?  Try Crush of Memory.
