Ok, I finally got back out to Red Rock to verify the correct coordinates. The container is a small Geocaching plastic box. There are a few items, logbook, and pencil in the cache container. I covered it with rocks as I don't want to pick up any natural wood laying on the ground from dead shrubs or cactus.
This was the name of a cache of mine that came up missing four years ago, also in Red Rock Canyon. I placed this cache in a different location, close to one of my other caches. It is a quick grab off the Oak Creek Trail accessed from the dirt parking lot towards the end of the Red Rock Canyon Scenic Loop. Not the most creative hide but I had an extra cache container with me as I was doing cache maintenance.
