R.I.P. Letterbox Letterbox Hybrid

This cache has been archived.

AnnieMaroo: Was in the area With Little Red Cloud and stopped in to check on this one. Found everything except the L&L box. Removed both zip-loc-bags. LRC and I enjoyed a quick dip in the lake before heading home.

Letterbox and Geocache Instructions:
From the posted coordinates, facing the lake, you can see a bench on a hill across the water.
Turn around and make your way to the wide gravel path that was
once a logging road.
Keep walking and cross over two silver culverts.
Depending on the season, there may be gushing little rivulets or dry creek beds.
Those culverts will always be silver.

At the Y junction, keep to the left. There are branches blocking the wrong way, but they could get removed.
Keep walking along this wide path and cross the wooden bridge with one hand rail.
The trail now changes into a dirt path that has numerous roots running through it.
Use the wooden bridge with two handrails to cross the stream.
Go left as you exit this bridge, do not use the trail that goes straight up.
Follow the dirt, rock, and root trail through the mossy forest.
Most of these are cedars and only the trees on this side of the lake are covered with moss.
Cross the boardwalk.
Keep following the narrow root and rocky trail, pass over a black plastic culvert.
Pass a view point and hop over another black plastic culvert that has a pink stripe along it's center.
As you reach the top of this trail, you will come to a very pleasant look out.
There is a wooden memorial bench perfectly positioned for pretty views in both directions.
If you keep a sharp eye out towards the lake, you will see two very large horizontal trees.
One has been cut down and the other is a fine example of a nurse log.
Hop over a white pvc pipe and continue along the trail.
Eventually you will come to an area where there are a lot of nurse stumps.
All but one of them are on the lake side of the trail.
A fairly big one that has salal for hair, is on the right.
Two tiny moss covered stumps are located just in front of a larger stump that looks like a chair.
Not far from the chair stump, you will find three more nurse stumps.
One has a tree growing up out of it.
The second one is growing a huckle berry bush.
And the third one is growing salal.
Go down the hill and keep an eye out on the lake side of the trail for a moss covered metal structure.
The front of this metal structure is located 2 meters off the trail.
If you have crossed a bridge with one railing, you have gone too far.
There is a small piece of flagging tape 2 meters above the cache area.
Cache is not on the ground, you have to reach in, about an arms lenght.
There is one package with a log book for geocachers and another one for letterboxers.
If you happen to find the cache container on the ground, please return it to the metal and place it
far enough in (12 to 18 inches) so that it is not visible from the trail.

The lid has the magnet attached to it, so cache must be returned lid side up.
I hope you have as much fun finding this as I did hiding it!
