Where the trails end at the entrance of the Newberry Mountains Wilderness is where you will park and explore the area. The cache is nestled on a small peak overlooking Minneola Ridge and sitting on the hill of Azucar Mine. A short 0.4 mile climb to the top of this now named Sugar Peak. Follow the ridge to the top. Getting here is no problem for a 2 wheel drive. Camp Rock Road is well graded. The turnoff to GZ is narrow and in fairly good condition. The GeoCamry made it up here without a problem. Be prepared for very warm weather during the late Spring/Summer months. Snakes of different types are not uncommon here.
The container is a 12" tall blue snowflake tin. Placed in a rock pile. Not many piles here to search through so this should be a quick find. Please place the container back as you found it. Not too many venture up this peak but those few who do may find this as trash.
