Geocache Description:

A straightforward hide in a park - once located proceed toward the sound of the ocean for yet another stunning view! PLEASE add camouflage to hide if necessary.

During Slow Puncture's visit to the island in May of 2017, we had the pleasure of meeting fellow cachers Diadem, Taurussix & Mr MR. Together we attended an event, jointly FTFd the associated traditional cache, and thereafter shared a few long treks around the island in search of other traditionals and mysteries.

A good time was had by all and many caching stories were swapped. As all of the above hail from Sydney, this cache is placed in dedication to these new friends we made in our great week on the island.

(Note: All Slow Puncture caches are named after song titles - where possible, in some way relevant to the cache)

Skyhooks - Somewhere In Sydney

"Somewhere In Sydney" was one half of a double A-sided single released in 1976 by the Australian '70s rock band, Skyhooks. The flip side was "This Is My City". The songs were both included on the album "Straight in a Gay Gay World".

Reviewed In Australian music magazine RAM at the time of release, the album was described as "metehedrine power rock. It's jingle-jangley and crazy-tempered with guitar that shrill jackhammer like giant mosquitoes - dive-bombing into rhythms that are playing epileptic leap-frog around your stereo speakers."
