Deer Flat Refuge Traditional Cache
GarminGirl: Well we had a nice run with this cache. Thanks to all who visited or attempted to visit. I guess we should let the hornets live in peace and the area is technically off limits right now anyway. We were going to move it this weekend to another spot in the area but instead decided to wait as we spent our weekend doing other caches in the area.

Do not attempt this cache especially if you are allergic to bees. Access is prohibited right now, hopefully it is a temporary condition.
This cache is located in an area off a parking lot entry to the refuge. You SHOULD NOT have to trample on any vegetation to get to this cache. It is hidden in an ammo box that is partially underground. It is in an area that should not get too much floodin g so hopefully will be accessible throughout the year.
There is a wide assortment of "treasures" to be found: squirt gun, dog biscuits, seashell, Costa Rican coin, Ladybug bobby pins, Baby Beenie Babies, Homemade soap, compass, survival whistle, knife sharpener, pocket knife and MRE heaters.Ë
