Stithians Dam, between Camborne and Falmouth.
Stithians Dam is a reservoir operated by South West Water and
managed by the South West Lakes Trust. It was constructed in 1967
and provides water to West Cornwall. It is reputed to be the
windiest inland water in England. There is a 6.25 mile (10 km) walk
that goes around the reservoir.
Free parking is available at the dam (N50° 11.039' / W005° 11.721'
(WGS84)), it is signposted from the village of Stithians. From the
centre of the dam the cache is about a 1.2 km walk clockwise
around. The cache is in a 1.8 litre clear plastic container.
