Geocache Description:

This is a small Pelican container placed by Pinehurst Lake Staff, it is located close to the lake, not far from the gravel road. Remember if you move something while looking, please replace where you found it 

 This area is designated as an Area of Natural and Scientific Interest. Several tree species found here unique to the Carolinian forest includes sassafras, tulip tree and shagbark hickory. 
Park is open year round,
October 15 - April 30 : 9am - 5:30pm
May 1- October 15 : 8am - dusk

Entrance fee into the park is required. Keep your receipt. Day entrance/camping permit provides you with entrance into all 11 Grand River Parks for that day. Grab a map at the gatehouse. More park details are found at www.grandriver.ca
