Geocache Description:

Cache is located just off the Horseshoe Trail, fairly near Part 1 of B&J's Diabolical Duo. Park at State Game Land Parking area #145,(N40 14.718/W076 31.451) which is on Rt 117(Forge Road), just east of Epler Road. The trail gets a bit rocky at spots, but not too bad. I imagine that it might get a little muddy during rainy weather.

Two years ago we visited the Humane Society of Lebanon County in hopes of adding a new member to our family. When we opened the door to the kennel, the first face to greet us was that of a small beagle. He was the only one who wasn't barking. (That didn't last long!) The first time we took Elliott for a walk, he displayed his amazing olfactory prowess. He is truly a credit to his breed. He can sniff out a bunny anywhere! He LIVES to chase the rabbits! (Friends of P.E.T.A. will be happy to know that he hasn't caught any. YET!) Anyway, we dedicate this cache to our namesake and all of our canine friends!
If you don't happen to belong to a dog, please don't let that stop you from visiting. The hike is really nice.
The cache is an Ammo box, in which we've placed various dog-friendly items and some information about the Humane Society.

It is with great sorrow that we must report that yesterday we lost our precious Elliott. He left us very suddenly, which makes our grief that much harder to bear. But we know that he is in a better place. We will leave all of the above, unchanged, and, of course, we will always remain,
"Elliott's Nose"
