Staying in Halls Gap? Go for a walk or short hike up here then. :-)
A great spot we found with limited time in Halls Gap, so hiked up here. It is a steady uphill jaunt, with a formed track and steps formed in hill with rocks... until you get to the trailhead leading from the main track to the peak! The 'track' becomes less, and is more like boulder hopping. Just follow the arrows to the view. Then if you are game, follow the GPSr to GZ., it is about 100m past the last arrow we saw. Please mindful that this is a very exposed peak to the elements, wind and rain particularly! There is no need to go off the peak down any steep parts, if your gpsr is pointing off the ridge, let it settle before proceeding. I have included a spoiler pic of GZ to help you find the cache. The cache is just a small painted Sistema, but this hike is not about the container but rather all about the location geocaching has brought you! :-)
