Fontana piv Zeleno zlato - Prva fontana piva v Evropi
Fontana piva Zeleno zlato je poklon hmeljarski dediščini Spodnje Savinjske doline in Žalca, ki je središče hmeljarstva v naši državi. Že veste, hmelj je tista “začimba”, ki daje pivu okus in prepoznavno noto. A ste tudi vedeli, da je Slovenija peta največja proizvajalka hmelja na svetu?
Na fontani so za poskušino piva, ki vsebujejo slovenski oziroma štajesrski hmelj. Osnova za arhitekturno zasnovo fontane je simbolna hmeljska kobula, ki se izraža v dveh polkrogih oz. dveh fontanah, eni pivski in drugi, vodni. Polkrogi so oblečeni v bakreno čipko, ki simbolizira peno na pivu.

KDAJ? Fontana piv Zeleno zlato je odprta:
april, maj, september in oktober: 10.00 - 21.00, vse dni v tednu,
junij, julij in avgust: 10.00 - 23.00, vse dni v tednu.
KAKO? Obiskovalec kupi steklen vrček na različnih lokacijah v mestu in lahko pokuša 6 x 1 dcl piva. Kozarec, ki je opremljen s čipom, se postavi pod točilno napravo, ta ga zazna in postopek točenja avtomatsko steče.

The Green Gold Fountain - First Beer Fountain in Europe
The Green Gold Fountain is a tribute to the hop growing heritage of the Lower Savinja Valley and Žalec, which is the hop-growing centre of Slovenia. You probably know that hop is the “spice” that gives beer its distinctive flavour. But did you know that Slovenia is also the fifth largest producer of hops in the world?
Only the types of beer that contain Slovenian hops or hops from the Styria region are offered. The architectural design of the fountain is a symbolic hop flower, which is expressed as two semi-circles; one a beer fountain and the other a water fountain. The semi-circles are clad in copper lace, symbolizing beer foam.
Practical information:
WHERE? The beer fountain and the geocache are both positioned in the town park, right in the town centre, next to the marketplace. Address: Savinjska cesta 11
WHEN? Opening hours:
April, May, September and October: every day, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
June, July, August: every day, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
HOW? The visitor can buy a glass beer mug at various locations in town and can then taste 6 x 1 dcl of beer. The glass, equipped with a microchip, is put under the tap which detects it and pours the beer automatically. At the beginning and end, the taps are lifted and dropped automatically. The beer mug is yours and can be taken home after the degustation.

Fontäne Grünes Gold - Erster Bierbrunnen in Europa
Die Fontäne Grünes Gold ist eine Hommage an das Hopfenanbauerbe des Unteren Savinja Tales in Žalec, dem Zentrum des Hopfenbaus in unserem Land. Slowenien belegt mit seinen Anbauflächen von Hopfen immerhin den fünften Platz weltweit, und der Hopfen ist - wie alle passionierten Biertrinker wissen - das “Gewürz”, das dem Bier seinen besonderen Geschmack und seine typische Note verleiht.
Alle Biersorten, die am Bierbrunnen gekostet werden können, enthalten nur in Slowenien bzw. der slowenischen Steiermark angebauten Hopfen.
Der architektonische Entwurf des Bierbrunnens basiert auf dem Symbol Hopfenblüte, dargestellt in zwei Halbkreisen bzw. zwei Fontänen, einer Bier- und eine Wasserfontäne. Die Kupferspitze an den Halbkreisen symbolisiert den Bierschaum.
Praktische Informationen:
WO? Die Bier-Fontäne und auch der Geocache befinden sich im Stadtpark, im Stadtzentrum, dicht am Marktplatz. Adresse: Savinjska cesta 11
WANN? Die Fontäne ist vom 1.4.2017 bis 31.10.2017, von Montag bis Sonntag zwischen 10 und 21 Uhr geöffnet (in den Sommermonaten Juni, Juli, August sogar bis 23 Uhr).
WIE? Der Besucher kann den Glasbierkrug mit eingebautem Mikrochip an verschiedenen Standorten in der Stadt kaufen und dann kann man an der Fontäne 6 x 1 dcl Bier (es gibt 6 verschiedene Sorten) verköstigen. Der auf die Zapftvorrichtung gestellte und mit einem Chip markierte Krug wird wahrgenommen und das Abzapfen beginnt automatisch.
Den Krug kann man nach jeder Degustation vor Ort selbst spülen und dann am Ende auch mit nach Hause nehmen.
