Geocache Description:

Lovely hike in the Cooley mountains.    Should be a quick find.

A slightly larger than 'small' tab lock box.  

When I was hiding this geocache, I heard larks ascending above the heather all around. A beautiful sound very reminiscent of the poppy fields of northern France where so much carnage took place a Century ago. Just seemed an appropriate title for this cache. I hope you too will be moved by the sights and sound of the lark ascending. Just give a little thought to those brave chaps a century ago.

Please leave the cache back in place exactly as found. Although, in saying this, any necessary maintenance would be most welcome (many thanks in advance). please note: Dogs are not allowed anywhere on the Cooley mountains. Stealth may be required as these caches (although out of sight) are placed very close to the trail. Groups of serious, and not so serious hikers, will often be seen enjoying these trails (especially during weekends) Enjoy the tranquillity and 'lark song' Oh, and bring a camera! Hearty congratulations to sgtzara for their FTF success!
