A 30 minute walk uphill from the Haast Pass to a viewing platform where you can take in the views.
At 564m the Haast Pass or Tioripatea is the lowest pass in the Southern Alps. From the viewing platform you will be rewarded with views of the Alps and Beech Forest.
Park at the Haast Pass and follow the track up the hill for 30 minutes, climbing 130m to a viewing platform and seat. Please note that this is an uphill walk with some steep sections but is a fully graveled track. You are looking for a 1L container that holds a log book and room for swaps. Please bring your own pen.
