Located on the Tarka Trail, Eggesford Church was the estate church for a substantial manor house that has now been demolished. Eagle eyed cachers will be able to spot the traces of landscaped parkland nearby.
The church is modest in size and container several alabaster memorials to members of the Chichester family. If you get the opportunity I recommend looking inside; the church is usually open during daylight hours.
There is adjacent parking or if you wish to make a longer stay you could take advantage of the refreshment location. If you prefer to cache without a car this cache is an easy walk from Eggesford rail station which has regular services from Exeter and Barnstaple.
You are looking for a small tube hidden within sight of but not within the church grounds. Wheelchair users will have little trouble getting to GZ but may need assistance with retrieval. Please replace as found.
