GEOregon would like to invite you, your family, and friends to join us for the Sixth Annual GEO BBQ/picnic/potluck. There is ample free parking. The picnic will be in Willamette Park in West Linn. Located at the intersection 12th & Volpp Street where the Tualatin River meets the Willamette River, this scenic 15 acre park offers the following amenities: 2 large picnic shelters and a smaller gazebo all with water and power, stage area with concrete pad in front, baseball field, 2 softball fields, 1 grass volleyball court and 1 sand volleyball court, 5 horseshoe pits, river access including boat ramp at Bernert Landing and dock system, playground, wading pool, and wildlife viewing. We will be in the larger covered area.
There are 3 permanent caches in park area, and several nearby.
To compliment you day of caching, we have some fun activities planned:
· Cacher Bingo
· What's in your Geocaching Bag (bring your geocaching bag to participate)
· GPS Accuracy (bring your GPS unit to participate)
Ammo Can Toss
· Golden Ticket raffle (if you found a golden ticket hidden in a cache, bring it with you)
GEOregon will provide water, hot dogs, hamburgers/veggie-burgers, buns, condiments, and plates/utensils/napkins/etc. We'll even grill up your burger or dog just how you like it!
POTLUCK
For the potluck if your CACHING name (not your given name or your last name but your Geocaching name) begins with the following (if your caching name begins with a number, skip over to the first letter) bring:
· A - H: chips & dips
· I - O: green or veggie salad
· P - Z: dessert or sweet
(Please mark your container if you want it back and remember to bring a serving spoon if needed. Also, if your potluck dish is vegan or gluten free, please mark it so others will know.)
Please bring your own beverages if you'd like something other than water. The park prefers NO GLASS CONTAINERS!
If you'd like to volunteer to help us put on this event, please email the GEOregon board (GEOregon@gmail.com)
