The Bridge Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time or has had no owner response for at least 30 days, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

I was out today and decided to place a new cache. The cache itself is a small screw-top container covered in camo duct tape. Although there is a lot of trash in the river, it's still not a bad view. Be stealthy though, the bridge is a high-muggle area, and you may even be detected by the dog in the neighboring yard. BYOP.

This cache came out of some misfortune I have to say. I wanted to place a cache in this metal pipe nearby that was filled with water. I originally hid a weighted container tied to some fishing line in the pipe, but came up with a "better" idea. I took a container and glued a washer to it to weight it down. Then, I attached an eye hook to the other side of the container. The idea was that people would bring a piece of string and a paperclip and "fish" for the container. However, when I dropped the container in and tried to fish it out, it was impossible. I came back later with a magnet on a string to try and retrieve the container, but the magnet just stuck to the sides of the metal pipe. I then tied an open container to a string and tried to drain the container by continually filling it with water and dumping it out. After all of this, I still wasn't able to retrieve the container. I decided to place this cache nearby, so that this spot wasn't wasted. Trust me, this cache is a lot easier to find and retrieve. If anyone is able to get the container out of the metal pipe by the end of the bridge, let me know, and I'll... uh... well, I'll be very impressed.
