The aim of this cache is for you to take a drive down the SA Border Track. The Border Track is 4WD only, with some chicken tracks around most of the tough hill sections, but if you are super adventurous, feel free to take the tougher path. For the Border Track you will need a capable 4x4 with recovery gear, just in case! You will need to deflate your tyres down to 16-18 psi to make the trip possible and to also help preserve the tracks. Before you head off plan your trip and take plenty of supplies. The one way section of the Border Track is open from 1st of April to 31st of October and is closed during catastrophic Fire Danger days. There is a $10 fee payable online for use of the track.
Keep in mind that the track is one way and once you have got the cache you have to continue along the track to at least Centre Track/Pertendi Track which will bring you out at Pertendi Hut. Why not even make a weekend out of it and start your trip off with camping at Pine Hut Soak or Cox's Windmill at a cost of just $12 per night and finish off your trip camping down at Red Bluff Campground which is free camping.
