I Cuchi
Spesso si dice "vecio come el cuco" oppure "te si proprio un cuco"... ma cosa sono davvero i cuchi? Sono dei fischietti, normalmente in terracotta, e a Cesuna, nell'altipiano di Asiago, c'è perfino un museo a loro completamente dedicato!
Il museo nasce nel 1997 da una passione del sig. GianFranco Valente. Inventati per imitare gli uccelli, per rappresentare con il loro lieve soffio lo spirito della vita, o per allontanare gli spiriti cattivi, per segnare il trapasso dalla vita alla morte, come oggetto scaramantico, o come difesa usata dai contadini contro i predatori di coltivazioni, fino a diventare gioco dei bambini, o pegno amoroso, i cuchi sono oggi assunti alle più vive rappresentazioni di espressioni artistica e di costume. The "cuchi" museum
In italian language often it is said to be "old like a cuco" to mean "you are very old" or "you are just a cuco" to mean "you are not so intelligent" ... but what are "cuchi" really? They are whistles, usually in terracotta, and at Cesuna, in the plateau of Asiago, there is even a museum completely dedicated to them!
The museum was born in 1997 by a passion of Mr. GianFranco Valente. Invented to imitate birds, to portray the spirit of life with their mild breath, or to divert bad spirits, to mark the transition from life to death, as a scam object, or as a defense used by peasants against predators of cultivation, until they become children's play, or loving pledge, "cuchi" are now engaged in the most lively representations of artistic expression and costume.
