Geocache Description:

This cache is a camouflaged ammunition container on top of a low hill. It may be accessed by a well established hiking trail to the south or the "Revolution" bicycle trail to the north. Parking is available to the west and north. While access from the north is probably easier, the access from the west is probably quicker. The view here is nice. Stop and enjoy. Please replace the container carefully. Muggles aren't usually an issue here but they can quickly sneak up on you.

This cache is named for a Border Collie mix dog who liked to walk these trails with her people. One day, in her puppyhood, she was out walking with her people and they took a break near this spot. Sheena was surprised by some joggers and being fairly new to the world, didn't understand who these fast moving strangers were and made sure her people knew the joggers were around. Even after the joggers had gone, she kept an eye out for them. She wasn't going to be surprised again.

This area is a great place to walk or bicycle. It also offers great views of the surrounding landscape. To the northeast are the Wilsons, fourteeners between Cortez and Telluride. To the east are the La Platas, which mean “silver” in Spanish. Dominating the south is the the questa where Mesa Verde National Park is located. Continuing west is Sleeping Ute Mountain, said to resemble a man lying on his back with arms folded across his chest. Way off in the distance, on clear days, you can the Bears Ears, in Utah.
