My Fishing Pond, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, was established in 2002 by John Alvarez at this rural setting.  The mission of the organization is to provide a recreational therapy outlet for children with special needs, brain injury survivors and residents of care centers and their families.  John has constructed a restroom, washroom and storage facility and as a result of combined effors, participants are now able to enjoy a successful angling experience, have a relaxing lunch and enjoy a tranquil rural experience.
