It is located a little bit off of the north and currently last section of the Chino Valley Peavine Trail. The container was originally a cache in the Tucson area that became geo-trash and was resurrected once and then had to be removed because it was on state trust land and then we moved up here. Its “hiding” place is made from left over remains from the original trail and its usage.
There is usually safe off road parking near the south end of this section at the “corner” of Jerome Junction Road and Tree Farm Lane at the South parking waypoint. Due to the Road 4 North improvements and a new gate (thanks to Chino Valley Parks & Rec) there is also parking alongside the road at the north end of this section at the North parking waypoint.
This is near a dirt trail, so please be mindful of muggles, and be aware and careful of the normal creepy crawlies you may encounter on an Arizona Trail.
