This cache has been placed with permission from the people across the road.
You will have plenty of room here to park up in whatever vehicle you may be in but if you want to land your microlight you may need to get permission from the land owner.
The spot here at the cache is very significant,if you stand here on the 21st march or the 21st September and look at the rising sun you will be facing East and during daylight hours at 12 noon if you look towards the sun you will be facing North direct. Should you be here on those above dates as the sun goes down you will be facing West. If you are here at the right time you may even spot the owner landing his microlight in the paddock and driving it across the road to its hanger.(see photo) This road is also a good detour road from Hawera to Eltham or from Eltham to Hawera depending on which way you are going. I use this road a lot for training while out on my bike so if you see a lycra clad 70 + year old its probably me.
