When sourcing a song for this cache I ended up with Cathy Barton's song called "Jim the Wonder Dog Song" which then prompted me to look up Jim the Wonder dog who has an interesting story . Admittedly much better than the song unless you are into this type of music, I'm not so much in to barking so it wasn't for me....
the short story of Jim is that he was just a Llewellyn setter born in 1925 and trained as a hunting dog when his owner learned he could do other things like predict the future, understand several languages, and carry out the commands given to him by his owner. When told to do so, he could go out on the street and locate a car by make, colour, out-of-state, or a license number. From a crowd he could select the "man who sells hardware", and the one who "takes care of sick people", or "someone who had a bible". there is a web page dedicated to Jim the Wonder dog for anyone interested in doing an internet search for him as well as a memorial garden, statue and Museum in Marshall, Missouri .
