Geocache Description:

This cache is on public access on the back of a public utility box in front of the property of Major General Frederick Funston

this cache is a small Nano with log only. Byop this should be an easy Park and grab

Major General Frederick Funston was born in New Carlisle, Ohio in 1865 he passed in San Antonio, Texas in 1917 at the age of 51. His family moved to Allen county, Ks in 1881. He joined the US Army in 1898. This is the site of he's boyhood home the house can now be found beside the Allen County Historical Society and Museum on the Iola Town Square the house was built in approximately 1860 and move to it's current location on the square on July 28 1994
