After hosting Bundy Geocachers Dönerstag Event in April we decided to hold another event to help get local geocachers to meet and talk about what we all love, GEOCACHING! On Sunday the 28th of May, we invite all geocachers from near and far to join us at Baldwin Swamp Environment Park for a great afternoon of activities and socialising at the Shelter Shed near the Steindl Street entry. Parking is available from this entry.
We are planning a variety of activities including a Scavenger Hunt, Stamp Stampede, Face Painting and more! During the event, we also hope to take a few small groups on a tour of the park, with opportunities to find the geocaches hidden around the area.
We will also be having a raffle for your chance to win a trackable and other geocaching goodies, to help cover costs for the event. There will also be other geocaching prizes for some of the other activities planned during the day, so we hope you can participate and support our event.
There is no catering planned at this event as yet, so please feel free to bring snacks and drinks. We also recommend bringing insect repellent as there is a chance the mosquitoes and sandflies that inhabit the swamp may be in attendance as well.
We hope to see you all at Bundaberg Geocachers Swamp Symposium
